Following the acquisition of Nanonis by SPECS in January 2009, Scanwel is pleased to be able to offer Nanonis products for the UK and Irish marketplace. Scanwel has represented SPECS since 2003 during which time SPECS has entered the STM market with the licencing and commercialisation of the ultra-stable Aarhus STM. Now in command of a significant portion of the UHV STM market, SPECS has continuously developed the STM since its launch. Recent additions include the SPM version of the system which includes AFM capability using the new Kollibrisensor. Scanwel is very pleased to see that the paths of SPECS and Nanonis have now joined, and that we are able to offer a complete SPM package under one roof.
Over
a very short period of time the Nanonis control system has gained an excellent name in the community for its
high flexibility and reliability. Having first sold its system to clients who built their own microscopes, Nanonis today
mainly sells controllers to researchers with commercial microscopes who want to upgrade their systems in order
to perform new types of experiments that were not possible with the original system. Nanonis (now SPECS Zurich) control systems may easily be adapted to control a wide range of microscopes including Omicron, RHK, CreaTec, Veeco and many others.
Please contact the product specialist Rupert Smith, to see how the Nanonis controller can update the capabilities of your SPM system.
