NanoFlip

Designed to be vacuum compatible, the NanoFlip nanoindentation system is ideal for in-situ environments like SEMs, FIBs and vacuum chambers, using the microscopes themselves to provide imaging. When your experiments take you ex-situ, NanoFlip stands ready to perform by being able to work under any imaging system imaginable such as AFMs, Optical Microscopes and Optical Profilometers. Revolutionary Fib2Test technology allows users to tilt their sample 90 degrees to seamlessly transition from FIB to indentation test inside a dual beam SEM without having to remove the sample.

iNano® Nanoindenter

The iNano nanoindenter is made easy and affordable by offering repeatability, accuracy and precision at a price that puts nanoindentation capability into reach for any lab’s budget, from leading universities to high tech companies.

Every element of the iNano is designed to provide lab technicians and researchers with an easy-to-use tool for characterising their materials and products. From its innovative magnetic sample loading system to its industry leading software, iNano makes experiments simple and allows for mistake-free, high throughput mechanical testing that is required by today’s leading labs. By eliminating the need for advanced test setup and complicated software exchanges, iNano is perfect for the first time user looking to prove their product or the seasoned scientist trying to unlock the best data for their research, all while offering the best quality data available on the market. iNano was built with the simple purpose of keeping world-class nanoindention simple.

InSEMIII and InSEMIII HT Systems

The InSEMIII is a tool for characterising the mechanical properties of surfaces or structures, which is designed to function with sub-nanometre resolution in an in-situ vaccum environment such as an SEM or FIB. The InSEM is designed to be modular and flexible, to enable a wide range of applications. The system is designed to be assembled in an on-stage configuration for maximum mechanical stability, and with the high temperature option allows in-situ mechanical testing at temperatures up to 800ºC. Independent control of the tip and sample temperatures is integrated with multi-location thermocouple feedback.

iMicro Nanoindenter

• Higher loads and wider applications make iMicro the only choice for serious research labs around the world.
• Allows for a wide range of tests including, but not limited to frequency specific experiments, storage and loss modulus, modulus and hardness (Oliver and Pharr) and constant strain rate.
• Mulitple actuator options available for testing any material from ultra soft gels to hard coatings.
• Available scratch option featuring a maximum normal load of 50 mN, maximum scratch distance of 2.5mm and a maximum scratch speed of 500 µm/s.

Gemini

The new Gemini system from Nanomechanics is the world’s first commercial, isometric multi-dimensional instrument for the study of hardness, tribology, wear, and adhesion at the nanoscale. The device can measure the interaction of two objects that are sliding across each other – not merely making contact. The tool allows the user to measure forces and displacements in both quasi-static and dynamic modes, with sub-nanometre and nano-Newton resolutions. A sample stage of sub-nanometre resolution complements the actuators to produce highly precise targeting.
